Vitale Barberis Canonico is one of the oldest woollen mills in the world, with the 13th generation of the same family at the helm, and produces high-quality textiles for use in luxury menswear. Amongst the 5,000 different fabrics produced each year, which are sold in more than 90 countries throughout the world, classic fabrics find their place to dress businessmen during the week, whilst other fabrics blend linen, silk, cotton, and cashmere with wool to create sumptuous unlined jackets for the weekend and casual wear.
For more than 350 years, all the various stages of wool production and processing have been carried out in the mill’s historical buildings in Pratrivero in Northern Italy, the heart of Italy’s textile-producing area, where the best waters flow for the processing of high-quality wool. The ethos of Vitale Barberis Canonico is to fuse contemporary Italian textile savoir faire with traditional British style.
